New Merge band (John Darnielle and Franklin Bruno)! Double-win with The Mountain Goats coming on board, too. The drawing was done by Ian Dingman, who renders light in the darkness exquisitely (see this, this, and this.) When John and I started talking about boxing posters and spotlit rings, I knew Ian was the man for the job and gee whiz, did he deliver.
